CTP is looking for an Agency New Business Lead to build and run the engine behind CTP’s next stage of growth — strengthening CTP’s presence in the market, building our pipeline, and helping turn opportunities into lasting client relationships.
We love working with talented people, and we continually look for compassionate co-workers with a collaborative spirit to add to our community. Our work moves quickly, and we’re great at coming together to find creative solutions for our clients’ most interesting problems. CTP’s wide array of work can be seen here.
This is a hands-on role for someone who combines disciplined execution with sound judgment. You will manage the weekly rhythm across agency marketing, relationship-based outreach, and active pursuits – doing the work yourself, reading signals from prospects and warm connections, and adjusting the plan when an opening calls for it.
In this role, you will contribute to our agency’s success by:
- Agency marketing and market presence: Keep CTP’s website, credentials materials, case studies, thought leadership, and other owned channels current, consistent, and aligned with the agency’s positioning.
- Market opportunities: Identify PR and amplification opportunities around agency news and client work, and manage CTP’s agency-visibility across events, speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and coordinate execution to make sure CTP shows up where the right people are paying attention
- Pipeline development: Build relationships with search consultants and priority prospects through thoughtful, consistent outreach that creates meaningful , relationships and new opportunities
- Pipeline intelligence: Maintain a clear, current view of the pipeline and translate activity into useful insights, priorities, and next steps for leadership.
- Relationship judgment: Make thoughtful, real-time calls on sequencing and pacing – when to hold, when to push, and when to act on an opening a contact has created. Bringing a strong point of view to higher-stakes relationship decisions and know when to involve leadership, particularly around warm-introductions, sensitive prior conversations or changes in account priority.
- Cross-agency coordination: Coordinate leaders and contributors across the agency to keep a multi-person marketing, outreach, and new business program moving forward
- Pitch management: Manage pitch team logistics, timelines, research, and materials once an opportunity moves into active pursuit, helping CTP show up prepared to win.
- Decision support and learning: Support Go/No-Go discussions with well-researched input and capture win/loss learnings to strengthen future efforts
- Scalable operations: Maintain the CRM and pipeline dashboard while improving the tools and processes that make CTP’s growth efforts consistent and scalable.
Who You Are:
You’re someone who wants to build something, not just maintain it. You get genuine energy from the ground game of growth – the outreach, the follow-up, and the moment a relationship turns into a real conversation. You’re just as invested in keeping CTP’s own marketing sharp as you are in pursuing the next warm introduction.
You have hands-on experience running outbound or relationship-based programs, and you think several moves ahead: which connection to pursue now and which to keep building over time, which quiet week needs breaking with a bold move, and which agency win deserves a bigger push. You’re organized enough to keep multiple relationships and workstreams moving without dropping one, and excited by the opportunity to prove a system works and help scale it.
If you want a role where you are both doing the work and trusted to make the calls that keep it moving – and where success creates the opportunity to own an increasingly broad growth mandate – we’d love to meet you.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in business development, agency marketing, growth marketing, or client and relationship management, including significant experience working within an advertising or marketing agency.
- Direct experience running structured, multi-touch outreach or relationship-development programs – not solely executing a marketing calendar.
- Experience supporting agency or professional-services marketing, such as website content, credentials materials, case studies, thought leadership, or owned-channel programs.
- Demonstrated judgment in relationship management, including knowing when to press, when to hold, and when to escalate a higher-stakes decision.
- Strong organizational and tracking discipline, with comfort working in a CRM, maintaining dashboards, and communicating progress through clear weekly reporting.
- Experience coordinating multiple internal stakeholders and parallel workstreams while keeping shared programs on schedule.
- A proactive, competitive, and collaborative approach, with the resilience to sustain momentum when results are measured in quarters rather than weeks.
- Ability to commute to our Boston office 2x/week (Tuesday and Wednesday). All employees are required to be in-office on these days.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
